Magic Basic Abilities
Adrenaline-generating magic abilities for your rotation
Overview
Magic basic abilities focus on the Flow mechanic which reduces the adrenaline cost of your next ability. Many abilities also interact with status effects like Combusted for bonus damage.
All of these Magic Basic Abilities will generate a base of 9% adrenaline.
Core Basics
Basic Attack
Basic Attack is your default ability dealing 110%-130% damage with no cooldown.
Sonic Wave
Unlocked at level 6, Sonic Wave is a focused blast of magic that pummels the target dealing 90%-110% damage with a 15s cooldown. When cast, this applies Flow to yourself for 9s.
Flow: Your next Magic ability costs 10% less adrenaline.
Can be upgraded to
Greater Sonic Wave via an ability codex for increased damage and an additional 10% adrenaline reduction on your next ability (bringing it to 20%).
Area of Effect
Dragon Breath
Unlocked at level 19, Dragon Breath breathes a mighty cloud of fire dealing 110%-130% damage to the target and up to 4 additional enemies in a cone in the attack direction with a 7.2s cooldown. Deals 1.25x damage to Combusted enemies.
Chain
Unlocked at level 51, Chain fires a magical spell that chains between nearby targets dealing 70%-90% damage to the target and up to 2 additional enemies within 5 tiles with a 10.2s cooldown. Your next Magic ability against the target within 6s will also target the additional enemies, dealing 30% damage.

Bleeds
Combust
Unlocked at level 38, Combust explodes the target causing them to Burn dealing 27%-33% damage per hit every 1.8s with 10 hits and an 18s cooldown.
Stuns
Impact
Unlocked at level 31, Impact smashes the target with a burst of earth energy dealing 65%-75% damage with a 15s cooldown. This ability stuns and binds the target for 1.8s and holds 2 charges (second charge unlocks at level 54).
Channelled Abilities
Concentrated Blast
Unlocked at level 66, Concentrated Blast blasts the target with beams of concentrated energy attacking 3 times over 1.8s dealing 30%-40% damage per hit with a 5.4s cooldown. This ability is channelled. Each attack increases the Critical Strike Chance of your next Magic attack by 5%, stacking to a maximum of 15%.

Greater Sonic Wave via an ability codex for increased damage and an additional 10% adrenaline reduction on your next ability (bringing it to 20%).
